Yes, it has been a while since we’ve heard those words. However, as of July 3, 2009 they were finally announced again. Second place OVERALL in the Stampede Parade. Pretty damn good, if we say so ourselves. Especially when you consider the size of some of the bands we were up against. Hell, we even beat everybody in marching on one judge’s sheet including the Stampede Band. Hahahaha…and with absolutely NO marching rehearsals ! God we’re good!

Ah well, it was fun and the payday was an unexpected bonus. We should really be spectacular next year when we will be waaaay bigger. Speaking of which, we have had 7 people, who want to join, already contact us since the parade. Everybody loves a winner I guess !!

As well, we have been contacted by some people who saw us in the parade for some potential gigs … including the Stampeders. Details of the meetings will follow as soon as they are available.

One last thing…we would like to “Thank” everyone who jumped in at the “last moment” to help us out. Alison, Adrianne, Anthony, Patrick, Sheena, Vanessa … “Thank You !” Hope you will all stick around and be a permanent part of the gang !

In the meantime, rehearsals will resume as of Tuesday, July 4 for Brass and Thursday, July 6 for Percussion. AE office as usual.
