2010 promises to be a VERY Happy New Year !!
Well…the Christmas break is nearly over and it’s almost time to get back at it !
Brass rehearsals will resume Tuesday, January 5th (AE office – 7:30 PM)
Drum rehearsals will resume Thursday, January 7th (AE office – 7:00 PM)
“CAMP” & “ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING”
Saturday, January 23rd (Chapelhow Legion – 10 AM to 4 PM)
Although we’ve been absent here for while…we have not been idle. In fact, management’s been super busy … getting prepared for the new year. LOTS of exciting news to report.
RECAP of 2009 (and Santa Comes Early) !
On Remembrance Day we did a concert for our friends at the Chapelhow Legion that was very well received. The performance started off with the drumline dazzling everyone with a number of drum solos followed by their incredible competition piece that they recent performed in Hamilton. Next up was the brass section showing off their talents with 3 pieces picked especially for the occasion. To conclude the evening’s affairs the full brass and percussion ensemble lit up the place with rousing renditions of “Danny Boy” and “Auld Lang Syne” to a standing ovation. As requested by the Legion and to conclude the day long festivities AE also performed “God Save the Queen”. (pics available below)
SANTA COMES EARLY… “Squat & Gobble” says goodbye! One week before Christmas management finalized the selling of the old AE truck and kitchen trailer. A big “THANKS” to all involved for your tireless efforts. Great work !
2010 – Exciting times ahead !
We have so much going on for the new year that it’s almost mind-boggling !!
New instruments ! New programs ! New music ! New members ! New home !
?!?!?!?!?!?
YES!! All of this and lots, Lots, LOTS more happening. We can’t divulge all the details yet, but stay tuned … 2010 WILL BE a “Year to Remember” !
Hell, we’ve even considered some new slogans. For example: “AE … Cheaper than Borsch !” / “AE … It Just Keeps Gettin’ Better !” / “AE … Music Magic – No Illusions !” / “AE…
But for now, we’ll just stick to what works:
“ALLEGIANCE ELITE … All New ! All Age ! All Good !”
We’re basically only one thing short of damn near perfection. YOU !
