“CAMP  Numero Uno”

Well our first camp has come and gone. WHEW !

It was great fun listening to the brass play “Danny Boy” and “Russian Christmas Music” !

The percussion section was really excited to be able to play with the horn line again.  By good fortune, the weather was pretty nice and so ‘ensemble’ ended up being outside.  Initially, everyone thought the brass would not be playing the charts “up to speed”.  However, on each subsequent run the brass line was urging for faster tempos.  Last run was pretty much on the money !  Everyone was hyped and things were starting to ‘cook’!

All the expectations can now be summed up in one word.  WOW!!  It’s actually happening and it’s going great.

Since the camp we have picked up 2 more members and things just keep getting better.  We all can’t wait for the January camp. (no December camp).  We are expecting a considerably bigger turnout by then.  (FYI -we have averaged 4 new members per week since we started….let’s see…4 members times 52 weeks…holy crap, we may have 200 members before the year is over !!!  More importantly,  we’d love to have YOU come out and join us.  We still have percussion (including PIT) and brass spots open and we’re really gearing up for the new year.  Oh yeah……WE NEED A DRUM MAJOR / CONDUCTOR !!!! (wanna be a star ?)
AND….you don’t have to necessarily be good looking…..just GOOD!

We are also looking at improving the website in the near future with lots more features. (members’s area, media, etc. etc., etc.)  If you think you can help with the website…please get a hold of us.  We are also looking for a Photographer, Videographer, Marketing guru, Writers….the list goes on and on.  If there is ANYTHING you can offer…PLEASE….run it by us….we’ve got all kinds of plans.
