“Sneak Preview” Party … A Huge Success !

On Saturday, October 4, 2008, a "Sneak Preview" of the new Allegiance Elite program was unveiled.

The evening began with members of the drumline performing a "warm-up" that had everyone remembering the good old days. It rekindled the feeling of excitement that we all experienced being in the 'parking lot' for pre-show ! Following the warm-up, the drumline played "Ditty" ... WOW ! It was like watching the Blue Devils playing their "on-field" warm-up once again. Needless to say, it REALLY made everyone feel like it was "SHOW TIME" ! The drummers concluded by giving the audience a look at their new competition solo which they will be performing during the I&E contest in Hamilton on October 18, 2008. It was an incredible display of drumming ... what an unbelievable way to start the night.

Next, newly appointed Executive Director, Gerry Hemsley, provided the scoop on the new AE. Why "All Age" ?? After explaining the rationale and what's in store, all were left wondering why they hadn't done this sooner. What a GREAT concept ! This is going to be FANTASTIC!

Apparently the attendees thought so too. Every single person in attendance signed up and paid to be a part of the new Allegiance Elite.

At the end of the presentation, everyone participated in a "Champagne Toast" to the new era. A fitting end to a new beginning.
