Originally founded in 1985 by a dedicated group of marching music enthusiasts, Allegiance Elite has developed a rich tradition of excellence in the Calgary and international marching music scene. From its humble beginnings as a youth group, ALLEGIANCE, a Marching Brass Ensemble, has amassed a history of praise and awards unparalleled by any other marching music program in Canada. After a virtual “over-night” rise to prominence in Calgary, the program continued to grow and evolve to where the organization has, at some point in our illustrious history, won the 1st place award at every major competition available for marching bands in Canada during the past 20+ years.
As the recipient of over 300 trophies and awards, here is just a small sampling of some of our more notable achievements during our history:
Over the years our “Concept of Excellence” has provided over 2500 participants with the opportunity to receive some of the finest professional music instruction available from all over North America. As a result, a number of our members have gone on to teach and instruct all over the world. In fact, a substantial number of our Alumni have gone on to teach at EVERY marching band program in the City of Calgary and surrounding area…a trend which continues even today !
With the ever changing dynamics of today’s world, we are committed to providing an environment for musical education and performance that takes into account the busy lifestyle that seems to surround us all. Perhaps more than ever, our youth need core values, role models and guidance for success. As adults, we require flexible schedules to accommodate all the things we’d like to be able to do and accomplish. With that in mind, we have restructured our entire program to enable YOU to achieve these goals. Learn to play …. or experience the “thrill of performance” all over again ! Either way ….
